Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1⅔ cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • cup butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method

  1. Whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Then, add the milk and eggs and whisk again to combine.
  2. Pour in the melted butter and vanilla and stir just until mostly smooth. Take care not to over-stir the batter (you want some tiny lumps to remain). Turn on the waffle iron and let the batter rest while it heats up.
  3. Pour batter onto the hot waffle iron, and cook according to the manufacturer’s directions. Serve warm!
